Coresport arrived in the mail. Opened it up and it looked pretty unassuming, nothing special, almost like any other workout shirt. The weather is getting humid now that the trade winds aren't blowing and summer is definitely here as temperatures are starting to rise. Perfect conditions for us to give it a try.
The first thing after trying it on was maybe this shirt was too small I usually wear my shirts looser but the fit felt good even if it wasn't something I was use to. With in the first mile of paddling in sluggish water I was already working up a sweat and true to Coresport's claim I was keeping cool with two and a half miles left to go I felt pretty confident I wasn't going to be overheated.
Here's the deal — With Coresport’s moisture-activated cooling and calorie-burning fabrics, the workout shirt can actually help cool you down. In fact, the more you sweat, the cooler you get. The moisture-activated cooling material uses 'Specific Heat Capacity' yarn and special fiber to absorb perspiration and moisture, which then evaporates quickly, resulting in clothes that are at least eight degrees Fahrenheit cooler than conventional clothes, and which stay dryer as well. The back of the Coresport shirt is a mesh fabric which is super breathable, but which can also enhance the calorie burning rate. The fabric reflects a significant amount of UV light, making the shirt perfect for outdoor sports. To me this was a plus because the black color of the shirt had me thinking I would be baking in it. In addition, the fabrics are infused with minerals that make the clothes odor-resistant and antibacterial. Stink clothes in your car after a workout whether on the water, outdoors or in the gym are not cool!
