AIRFRANCE Paddle Festival

March 21, 2017

Stand-up Paddle has been established for almost ten years as a real sport other than a trendy leisure and still continues to grow. It has become a vector of challenges with many followers from around the world.

In the news, a man has just crossed the Atlantic with a SUP in 93 days. Women are mobilizing and fighting against cancer by practicing SUP. Whether practiced on the lake, in the river, in the open sea or the waves, competition or leisure, SUP is an accessible, diversified, playful sport for all.

In Tahiti, where the values of paddling are ancestral, this lifestyle takes an increasingly prominent place. Today, this lifestyle is transgenerational, fun and is practiced by the whole family at different levels of involvement. A must have!

PRESENTATION OF THE EVENT

Thanks to many record participants and successful editions since its creation, this paddle Festival has become an unmissable event in Polynesia, the Pacific and even abroad. Elected as "Best SUP Event of the year 2015" by  SUP Connect, it will be in 2017 the fourth step of the SUP Race International racing circuit counting for the world ranking.

The Air France Paddle Festival is now part of the very closed circle of the world circuit, selected from thousands of races across the globe.

For this year the Paddle Festival will offer a maximum of novelties to offer even more pleasure to the participants, the spectators, and the partners.

In addition to its sporting and recreational vocation and a great promotion for French Polynesia throughout the world, this 2017 festival will allow athletes and families to excel and discover the values of this sport, which is on its way to becoming an Olympic discipline.
