San Francisco, California- Saturday 26, 2009.

It was the last race in the Hennessey’s series, held at Aquatic Park in San Francisco. Aquatic Park was built in 1939 as a public bathing club between Hyde Street and Fort Mason. Showing itself early the sun showed promise.  By race time the fog had pushed, out revealing the Golden Gate Bridge as a back drop for the racers rounding the first marker.  Weather continued clearing allowing everyone to view the racers rounding Angel and Alcatraz islands.  Tim Ritter, the race director stated, "All my good karma came together, blessing everyone with such an incredible day of racing."

The event consisted of 2 races a long course of 9 miles for Paddleboards and the Unlimited SUP class and a 6-mile course for the Stock SUP class.

Hennessey's ended the day with an incredible awards banquet at the gorgeous McCormick and Kuleto’s Restaurant. From the restaurant you had a full view of Aquatic Park, Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island all the way to Tiburon.

The winners in the Women’s Division, Brandi Baksic 1st place, Shakira Westdorp 2nd place and Morgan Hoesterey in 3rd place.

The winners in the Unlimited Division, Thomas M. Shaninian 1st place, Thomas Gallagher 2nd place and Chuck Patterson in 3rd place.

The winners in the Stock Division, Byron Kurt 1st place, E.J. Johnson 2nd place and Robert Stehlik in 3rd place.

The winners in the 39 Under Unlimited, Jared Vargas 1st, Ekolu Kalama 2nd and Dolan Eversole 3rd
